    Daniel

In the book of Daniel, the story of Daniel in the Lion’s Den, is a display of how God’s power is displayed through Daniel’s faith and obedience to God before obedience to a man made law that would prevent him from praying to God for thirty days. In this story, Daniel was noted as being more capable than any of the other administrators and high officers in the Babylon Kingdom under King Darius. Because of that, they became jealous and tried to find a way to find fault in him so that he could be killed and out of their way. A law was made that no one could pray to anyone else other than King Darius for thirty days. Daniel would not keep a law that would prevent him from praying to God and so he was thrown into a lions den with others who were not injured or killed by the fire so when King Darius witnessed this, he knew the God Daniel served was alive and begin praising the God of Daniel. We can relate this in our own life by realizing the affect we can have on others who don’t believe in God, that after they see how God works in our lives, it may cause them to give glory to God too and turn to him themselves.

They refused to be defiled by the foods in the palace and they showed that they could be stronger by eating vegetables. Reminds me of the women’s conference we are to be uncommon uncompromising. They didn’t bow down to their gods so they were put in the furnace but nothing happened to them Daniel refused to pray to their god so he was put in the lions den but God shut the lions mouth and he was untouched. The king had a disturbing dream and Daniel told him the meaning what he saw where the kingdoms that were and that will be and a Rock (Jesus) hits the statue he saw and destroys the last world power. Daniels dream is of the same kingdoms but he sees it as the end times what we know as the tribulation and the antichrist revealed, the beast he sees is comparable to the visions John has in Revelation. </span></p>

Daniel was gifted at a very young age. He and his three friends Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego were chosen by the king to prepare them and train them for his own royal services, But little did they know God had other plans. These four young men went though some tough times and through these tough times they stayed true and faithful to God. Daniel was thrown in the lions den but was saved by God and this lead the king to praise God. As for Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego they were put in a furnace of flames to be burned alive but through there faith in God they were saved. Through this book of Daniel is shows us that no matter what circumstance we are going with our faith in God he will see us through it. God is always in control.

In chapter 1, verse 20 it says that, ¨Whenever the king consulted them in any matter requiring wisdom and balanced judgment, he found them ten times more capable than any of the magicians and enchanters in his entire kingdom.¨ This shows how even though the king, Nebuchadnezzar had an entire kingdom, and yet the only ones of excellent use wasn´t the magicians or enchanters of false prophecies; but these young prophets that were TEN times better, is just to show us, you reap what you sow; and Daniel demonstrated this scripture by having and keeping a convent with the Lord. Meaning that God will allow us to have favor where it seems impossible to show He is with us and He can do all things through the ones who are willing. And the mouths of the lions, predators, accusers, liars, vultures, and haters will be shut and Gods children will be protected.

    THE BOOK OF DANIEL
I found the Book of Daniel to be a very interesting book, in that it showed me how strongly dedicated and loyal Daniel was to God and His people. Although Daniel was very young when taken into captivity in or around 605 B.C., he was grounded in the precepts of God. And even though Daniel could have been killed for not compromising his beliefs, he remained steadfast throughout the sixty plus years of his captivity. Daniel was educated and skilled by the power of God, Himself. Which gain him the opportunity to be serve in the palace of king Nebuchadnezzar. I also found it interesting that Daniel was the first prophet taken captive by the king, and Ezekiel came into servitude to the king some years later. God purposed Daniel to be the vessel to show the people that He was the One and Only true God of Israel, and that He had all power and control of the destiny of every nation. Throughout Daniel’s life his prophetic interpretive skills and his visions of the future kingdoms, solidified the Book of Daniel to be an essential prophetic book of the Bible. And though there is no mention of the Holy Spirit being the source of his visions and prophecies, it is clear to me, that the Holy Spirit was within Daniel. The Book of Daniel prophecies and visions stood out to me because they were of events both of his time and future events that have not yet happened. Particularly, those of interpreting future events, such as, the antichrist, the Tribulation, Christ’s second coming, and two events that are new to me, the Times of the Gentiles, and the Seventy Weeks of Years. Reading the Book of Daniel has reminded me of what it means to live a life that is Holy and acceptable to God. And that our loyalty, dedication, and devotion must be only to God. We must have unwavering Faith and be humble. These are the deeds to living a Holy, God centered life. Great lesson!

<span style=”color: #444444; font-family: Lato; font-size: 14px;”>Daniel was a young, wise man who was taken captive by King Nebuchadnezzar. Daniel was close to God and his book talks about the visions he saw that revealed the mysteries of God, particularly, the coming Messiah (Jesus) and his reign on Earth. Daniel and the Book of Revelations have many similarities and are better understood by reading together because both discuss End Time prophesies.</span>

The Book of Daniel can be summed up as follows.  I.) God is the most high God and he is sovereign over all of the nations and rulers. Who are  here on Earth.  The book of Daniel also makes reference to how Daniel was trained in Babylon during the reign of King Nebuchadnezzar.
