The book of Luke is special because he gives us an inside to the humanity of Jesus, he is the only gospel writer to tell us about the birth and boyhood of Jesus as I read I see a family dinamic like Mary going to see Elizabeth who will bear His cousin John who will make a way for Him. We get to read a story about Jesus as a young boy and how He always was annointed by God. Luke presents Jesus as the Son of Man and being a physician. Luke gives Jesus geneology thru Mary His mother and throughout Luke we can see Jesus love for the women he tells us about the prophetess Anna when we would think that women were not phrophets in those days.
