Joshua is the book about new beginnings for the people of God, the children of Israel claiming their blessings. Joshua taking on leadership role and leading the children of Israel to the promise land, crossing the Jordan river on dry ground picking up twelve stones for each tribe as a remembrance of what the Lord had done for them. Renewing the covenant the Lord had made with the people conquering the land all the while the Lord is leading them . Joshua may have made many mistakes as we do,’ but he was the Lord chosen and anointed leader.
