The book of Daniel starts off with the invasion of Jerusalem by Babylon and how Babylon exiled all the choice young men which included Daniel, Hananiah, Mischael and Azariah who were assigned new names which were Belteshazzar, Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-nego and how they found favor and didn’t have to eat the kings choice food. The kings dream and it’s secrets are revealed to Daniel them given to the king, then into the king’s statue of gold and how he made a decree for everyone to worship it and if not they would be thrown into the furnace. God protected Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-Nego. After that, Persia conquered Babylon and Daniel served king Darius of Persia and was thrown into the Lion’s Den and God protected him. Daniel started to get troubling visions after this, so he started to pray for his people. Then Angel Gabriel brings him and answer and finally into his vision into his time of the end.
