The book of Proverbs in parts to us the wisdom of God. It is practical and anyone who wants to be wise can get wisdom from this book in the Bible. However, if someone wants to be foolish, they will not want to search for wisdom but they will harden their heart to it in order to fulfill the human desire to walk in foolishness.
As believers and followers of Christ, we can learn a lot from the book of Ecclesiastes. We can learn from Solomon, that the indulgence of all that life has to offer such as wealth, material things, being filled with wine, and having power can never truly satisfy our souls the way God can. Those roads lead to emptiness. The only one who can satisfy our soul and give us true fulfillment is Jesus Christ. Unfortunately, most of us have to find this out the hard way in life. It would be nice if someone could learn this from reading the Bible instead of having to live it out.
