The travel was prolonged due to the disobedience in following God’s direction, lasting 40 years. Though people died, the second census remained the same in number, which was interesting to me. God does take away His blessings when we are not following Him. This is when we suffer our consequences for our sin of not obeying God. However, He is a merciful God and will return what you have lost if you return to Him and repent. He keeps His promise to us, thank you Lord!</span></p>
