Numbers
God was leading the Israelites out of Egypt, through the wilderness, to the promise land. While going through the wilderness, the people began to complain and test God even though they had already seen God do many miracles. Their hard hearts and unbelief caused caused them to turn away from God and back into sin which resulted in their generation not being able to enter Gods rest. This is a lesson believers today can learn from. God has shown us his power, miracles, and wonders, yet many of us treat those things as common and want God to prove himself to us over and over and become complacent. The Bible clearly tells us we should not test God. What we should do to the best of our ability is to walk in obedience to the Lord and believe in his goodness toward his children.
