I appreciate the book of Numbers. The census and tribes are something that goes on till this day. The testing of the faithful wife was my least favorite part. I feel like this too goes on till this day. So many different countries and religions treat the women less than, and that bothers me, mostly because part of it is women who allow it and women who cannot do anything about it. The best part however, and one that sits with me is when God says about Moses, “With him I speak face to face, clearly and not in riddles; he sees the form of the LORD.” Talk about God having your back, he was making it noticeably clear. I am so jealous of Moses at times and hate that he was human enough to sin against God and not make it into the promise land. But Moses had something that anyone would want. Not that I do not have a very deep and still getting deeper relationship with God. But not the same. And I love this.
