When reading the book of Numbers, I came to the realization at how big in number the people of Israel were. The People of Israel were not a couple of hundred or even a few thousand, but more that 600,000 were led out. I can imagine how long it took them to just cross the Red Sea. How God provided for so many in the wilderness. The magnitude of God’s power is seen in merely the deliverance of so many people, yet they continually want to gripe at Him as if they do not see with their very own eyes how many people He has the ability to provide and protect at one time. The Generation that was led out was over 600,000 and the generation that was led into the promised land was over 600,000. The Lord never takes away without replacing with something else. He will never leave us empty.

    Numbers
In the book of Numbers God continues to show his laws, statutes and ceremonies, yet the children of Israel persisted to be disobedient and rebellious to God’s law. The Father must now discipline, correct and even punish to the point of death causing separation between God and his children.

Really good synopsis, Ricardo!   Our loving Father disciplines us because He loves us.
