This was an interesting read for sure! The name Leviticus comes from the Levites (tribe of Levi), the priests. It is known as the Book of Atonement and the central theme is fellowship. The book describes the way to God via sacrificial offerings and how to walk with God by separation. The book also talks about purity laws, clean versus unclean, and holy living. This book was meant to instruct Israel in holiness so that the Lord’s presence will remain among them, in the tabernacle.
