God is good and longsuffering we deserve punishment yet He always finds a way to bless us even when we disobey. After all the blessings the Israelites saw they continued to seek the gods of the people around them. I realize the importance of teaching the younger generation. God raised judges to deliver them and lead them back to their God but time and time again they went back and bowed down to them. “Go cry out to the gods which you have chosen; let them deliver you in your time of distress.” (Judges 10:14) I never want to hear God say that to me!
Thank God for Ruth I did not know she was king David’s great grandmother, but through her we gentiles have right to the kinsman redeemer Jesus Christ!
