Where were you when I laid the Earth’s foundation?  Tell me, if you understand who marked off it’s dimensions ? Surely you know!  Who stretched a measuring line across it?  On what were it’s footings set, or who laid it’s cornerstone-while the morning stars sang together and all the angels shouted for joy? Job 38:4-7(NIV) This is God’s response to Job.  When Job wanted to question God about the physical, mental and spiritual suffering.  That he was enduring and he could not understand why?  Job had to process the loss of  his kids, servants, livestock etc. Mind you Job experienced these losses back to back on the same day!   Long story short.  Job lost everything and everyone that truly meant anything to him. With the exception of his wife and also his three best friends. Eliphaz the Temanite, Bildad the Shuhite, and also Zophar the Naamathite.   Due to the fact that God saw Job as “being blameless and upright, a man who shuns evil”.  This is what God said to satan.  The devil’s response to God was. “Does Job fear God for nothing?  ” “Have you not put a hedge around him and his household and everything that he has?  You have blessed the work of his hands, so that his flocks and herds are spread throughout the land.  If God were to stretch out his hand and strike everything that he has, and surely he will curse you to your face. God’s answer to the enemy’s accusations and demeaning questions. Was very well. God gave the enemy specific instructions. I place everything that he has in your hand, but on the man himself. Do not lay a finger!  The devil was convinced by his own thinking.  That Job would curse God.  Not so because our God knows how much we can bear good or bad!  Job passed this test and in the end God gave Job.  Double for his trouble!  During the midst of this storm that was brought on by the enemy testing Job’s uprightness and blamelessness to God.   Job never lost his faith in God and he held onto God’s unchanging hand.  Even when is wife wanted him to curse God and die.  Job chose to not go down that road and he spoke God’s word over his situation while rebuking his wife with the love of God.  He also shut his three best friends down as well.  Due to the accusations and ungodly counsel that they were giving to him.  The book of Job is a tangible example of how we should respond in life.  When we are living a blameless and upright life before God, and the enemy choses to act a fool and challenge God.  Behind one of his kids\servants!  The book of Psalms on the other hand is a book of prayer and praise!  There are also Psalms that included in the book of Psalms.  That are instructional in their form and purpose.  At the very core of the book of Psalms is an understanding of right human understanding ,trust, hope, service, morality, adoration.  Included in the book of Psalms is also a history of the whole creation. Heaven and Earth!
