Job was a very blessed and devoted man of God.  Satan told God, Job was only devoted because God blessed and protected him but if he removed his blessings and protection Job will curse God.   God knew that Job was faithful; therefore he removed his protection from Job and Satan killed his children,  servants, and animals.  He also made Job very sick.  Job question God’s motives but he never  curse God.  At the end God gave Job double of everything he lost.  We don’t always know why things happen in our lives, but God does and he is working things out for our good.  We need to trust him during the difficult time.

The book of Psalms is a group of songs, poems of supplication, praise and thanksgiving .  They express the hopes, sorrows, joys and doubts of the jews people in that era.  We sing songs from these psalms in our church.  I read the psalms to rejoice in prayer and thanksgiving to God.
