Nicole VillalobosParticipantI found it rather interesting that Paul uses the military term of “Stand” in 2 Thessalonians. Stand meaning to make firm, to establish, to cause a person to keep his position or place. To be kept intact. To establish or sustain the authority or force of anything. Paul is calling the brethren to be positioned, immovable, unshakable in the eternal things of God so that our positioning brings forth power! The mission of remaining immovable and unshakable in our faith is what brings forth the position of being steadfast in these last days so that we become fiercely engaged so that we can engage fiercely.

Jennifer GonzalezParticipantWow! That is so empowering and God knows our walk with Him needs times to be still and stand firm in His faith. Thanks for teaching us that it is a military term! amen
