In the beginning of l Kings, David blessed his son Solomon as King and gives him words of council and instruction.
King David dies and Solomon takes over as King. King Solomon has a dream from God where God wants to grant him whatever he asks and God gives him great wisdom and understanding to govern the people. King Solomon chooses to build the Lord a beautiful temple.
2 Kings
It marks the beginning of the prophet Elishas ministry. He prophesied to the Shunammite women that she would bare a son in one year and she did but a few months later the son ends up dying and when he hears of this he resurrects the shunammite’s son.
The book of 2 King closes with the burning of the temple.
