The author of the book of Hebrews is unknown but assumed to be Paul. The author states the significance of Christ as a person, that He is better than prophets, angels, and Moses. The author also explains how the new covenant is better than the old covenant because of Christ. There is no other sacrifice greater than His sacrifice and the new covenant is sealed with His blood. The writer goes on to say that because of Christ, we have an assurance of faith, to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus. This book sums up the significance of Jesus’ life: His power, death, resurrection, works, everlasting covenant, and restoring all that is well pleasing in God’s sight.
