I found Ezra’s testimony so amazing. He was an “expert in the commands of the Lord”, and he still prioritized “seeking the Law of the Lord and to do it”. Seeking the Lord and obedience was his priority and in return God showed him amazing favor where the hand of God could not be denied. He stayed committed to the Lords plan even in the face of strong opposition.
Nehemiah’s testimony was amazing in the same way. He also relied completely on God and accomplished the impossible despite death threats, and the disobedience of the Isrealites. It was sad to see how crooked some of the leaders were, taking advantage of their people who were already poor but Nehemiah strongly corrected them time and time again with great passion and sometimes physical force.
I pray I can have such great faith to to accomplish all that God would have me to for His glory.
