The samaritans had forced worked to be suspended but the people still built the temple in the books of Ezra. Ezra had led a large body of exiles back to jerusalem & discovered that jewish men were marrying no jewish women. He confesses the people’s sin before God, and ask for forgiveness to change the mishaps that had happened. Nehemiah cancels debts amongst jews, and and begins to rule righteously. The feast of tabernacles was celebrated for 7 days. Nehemiah enforces covenant when he notices people didn’t obey laws during his visit after 12 years.
