The book of Ezra begins with King Cyrus of Persia and a proclamation.  He describes the work of the Jewish exiles returning under Zerubbabel.  With the temple rebuilt, a second group under Ezra renews the spiritual vitality of the nation.  God is faithful in restoring his people to there land.

Nehemiah is cup bearer to the king.  He leads the third and final return of the exiled Jews to Jerusalem.  Under his leadership the people rebuild the walls of the holy city.  The wall was built in fifty-two days and was a tribute to Gods miraculous power.  A book of vision, leadership, andrepentance.
