Ezekiel was a priest and prophet to the Jews that were captive in Babylon. He prophesied that judgment would fall on Jerusalem. God showed him the reasons for the judgment to come. God had Ezekiel do some crazy things publically to get the peoples attention but no one seemed to take heed. Ezekiel also prophesied hope- the good that was to come. God showed him through the Valley of Dry Bones that Israel would be resurrected and would have her own land again.
