Ecclesiastes can drain the life out of a believer if you let it. Solomon tends to go a little dark in this book on his experiences apart from God. However there is hope in this book as it shows a willingness to depend on God for purpose. This book teaches us that life is meaningless apart from God. Ultimate satisfaction doesn’t come from life but the giver of life.
Solomon can be very descriptive to say the least in his Song of Songs. He speaks of the joys and heartaches of marriage. This is a book that celebrates love the way God has intended it for us. It also shows Gods love and commitment to us. Romantic love, commitment, and intimacy are shared throughout this book.
