Daniel was a man after God’s own heart. He was young, brilliant, wise, and skilled. He was destined even before the Babylonian captivity to be used as a mighty vessel of perseverance and faith in the face of great adversity. His faith persisted in the face of persecution, and demonstrated His belief in his namesake that”God is Judge.” He never had to speak a word of defense, but rather allowed the Lord to show up and show off. Daniel exemplifies the steadfastness that we are to have in the midst of great bondage and trials. This book is prophetic of the end days and of the tribulation period. It’s a precursor to what is to come and what is spoken of in Revelation. Every prophecy, dream, and event in the book of Daniel is symbolic of what end time believers will face and how we must face it. This book also foreshadows things to come that correlate to the book of Revelation. Daniel and Revelation go hand and hand and must be used together to comprehend the full meaning of both books and the times to come. Both books highlight the ultimate Glorious return of the Lord and remind us that in the end every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord!
