this week I decided to do my writing on the book of Jonah. The book of Jonah starts off with Jonah receiving a word from God to deliver a message of repentance to the great city of Ninevah. Then Jonah tries to flee from the presence of God by jumping on a ship sailing to the city of Tarshish. On the way there a storm hit and Jonah was thrown overboard and swallowed up by a huge fish. He was stuck in the belly of the fish for 3 days and then he prayed to god and repented and was spit out of the belly of the fish. He delivered the message to the city of Ninevah and the whole city repented and avoided God’s wrath. Finally Jonah was displeased with God’s decision to spare Ninevah.
