This book is a good reminder of “when you are chosen, you are chosen!” David was a very anointed king. He loved God and he knew that he was covered by Him. David was a very successful king. However, he was still human and his flesh got in the way. David fell a few times but repented and got back on track. Despite getting back on track, his sin still had consequences. In this book we are able to see how sin can create generational curses. Our sin doesn’t just affect us, it affects those around us, family, and our bloodline. Even though David had a sinful nature, God still used him in mighty ways. The Davidic covenant promised that the Messiah would be born of David’s bloodline.
