2 Peter was written before his death to warn people about the coming of the lord and to live our lives that would glorify God,and to encourage believers to continually grow in the knowledge of Christ.To watch out for false teachings .The Lord is being patient for his coming for our sake .He does not want anyone to be destroyed but everyone to repent
