The book of 2 Chronicles covers the Solomon’s reign and his building the Temple of the Lord. From King Solomon to King Cyrus Also with the Fall of Jerusalem.  King Asa did good and please the Lord. King Asa removed all the foreign alters and pagan shrines. He smashed the  sacred pillars and cut down the Asherah poles. He commanded the people of Judah to seek the Lord , the God of their ancestors, and to obey his law and his commands. (2Kings 14:2-4) . Then in Chapter 16:12 In the thirty-ninth year of his reign, Asa developed a serious food disease. Yet even with the severity of his disease, he did not seek the Lords help but turned only to his physicians. This reminds me of today. We serve the Lord for years and pray for everything we possibly can pray for but as soon as we develop an illness or receive a diagnosis from a physician we take the word of the physician and put our trust in the doctor to heal us. When we know as a Christian who are healer is! The Lord Almighty!
