What I took from the book of Samuel was that being obedient to God showed blessings upon who followed Gods commands, for instance, Hanna not being able to have children promised the Lord if she were to have a child she would dedicate him to the Lord and she did bye doing this God blessed her with more children. Also being bold and standing with assurance who you believe and trust in which is God. He has your back like when Goliath was slain by David.
