The message of these two books are the same message that God gave to Moses. God would provide blessings as long as they people were obedient and show judgment for their disobedience. The kingdom was in captivity because of disobedience. The prophets Elijah, Elisha and Isiah called the people back to God so they would avoid the consequences for breaking their covenant with God.
