1 Chronicles – Saul and his 3 sons die together. Philistines moved in and occupied their towns. Saul died because he was unfaithful to the Lord, he contacted a medium. David reigns as King he becomes powerful. David takes the ark to Jerusalem and the Lord blesses him. Later Satan rose up against Israel and caused David to take a census of the people of Israel. Joab throughout Israel to count the people, he reports the number back to David. God was very displeased with David with the census and he punished Israel for it. God gives David choices of punishments.
2 Chronicles – Solomon builds the temple of the Lord in Jerusalem. David ordered the Ark of the Lord Covenant to be brought the the Lords temple. Solomon was promised wisdom, wealth and power which he received from God. The Kings of Israel rebelled against the Lord and he punished them with death.
