The book of John is the last of the gospels. It was written by John who was a pastor at Ephesus. John, also known as John the Revelator, was also one of the apostles and was deeply loved by Jesus, they had a special relationship. How awesome it must have been to experience Jesus as a human being while on earth! John shows us Jesus’ heart and exposes His divinity as God-Man. The gospel of John is different from the other gospels in that it does not speak of Jesus’ genealogy, childhood, temptation, transfiguration, or His ascension.
