Daniel

In the book of Daniel, the story of Daniel in the Lion’s Den, is a display of how God’s power is displayed through Daniel’s faith and obedience to God before obedience to a man made law that would prevent him from praying to God for thirty days. In this story, Daniel was noted as being more capable than any of the other administrators and high officers in the Babylon Kingdom under King Darius. Because of that, they became jealous and tried to find a way to find fault in him so that he could be killed and out of their way. A law was made that no one could pray to anyone else other than King Darius for thirty days. Daniel would not keep a law that would prevent him from praying to God and so he was thrown into a lions den with others who were not injured or killed by the fire so when King Darius witnessed this, he knew the God Daniel served was alive and begin praising the God of Daniel. We can relate this in our own life by realizing the affect we can have on others who don’t believe in God, that after they see how God works in our lives, it may cause them to give glory to God too and turn to him themselves.
