The Book of I Samuel means “name of God”. These were originally two books that became one. He was known as a seer, priest, judge, prophet (by jews, christians, and muslims), and military leader, others saw him as a hero. He was the role model before the people wanted the king which became Saul. Samuel never cut his hair, he was the last judge of Isreal, and the first prophets after Moses. He was well respected and looked up to as a warrior and divine leader. He anointed Saul and David as kings. Book 1 and 2 were to compare the rise and fall of King Saul a man please and King David a God pleaser. Amen
