In the dictionary the word Lamentation means ” the passionate expression of grief or sorrow; weeping. That is what this book is about. It’s the crying out of the people from Jerusalem over the judgement that they were suffering through due to their sin. After reading of much suffering the middle of the book goes into the goodness of God and the hope, love an faithfulness that comes when we place our lives in his hands. In the final verses it shows the people realizing that God will reign forever and it records them asking for the Lord to restore them and their land.
