Judges was a whirlwind; it began after Joshua’s death and shows how the Israelites behave and fall away time and time again and continue to turn their face away from the Lord. They fall by worshipping other idols, into slavery of the hands of others, and they continue to plead to God for Him to save them and remember their Covenant – yet they continued to take fore granted the Freedom in which He granted and provided for them time and time again. My personal favorite part was the stories of the different ‘Judges’ that God kept bringing to the Israelites to save and rescue them. God continued to raise up Judges to deliver Israel from their own destruction and they’d continue to fall again until another Judge was raised.
