The apostle Peter wrote this letter near the end of his life. He wrote this letter to the Christians in the Asia minor to comfort and encourage them. I Peter provides encouragement for every believer to continue to live the Christian lifestyle through every trial and during all conflict. Our lives should always reflect our heavenly Father, and His Word in all seasons of life. Peter was pointing out that suffering is part of the Christian life, but God has a reward reserved for those who trust Him. God knows all that is going on, and He is working out His perfect eternal plan for all of us. We, as His children, must trust Him, keep our eyes fixed on Him and lifted up to heaven at all times. He is faithful!
