God loved us so much that He made a New Covenant with us, not because there was fault with the Old Covenant, but because of our inherent sin. We could not sustain the Old Covenant. We would always fall and never meet the standard, but with the New Covenant we are covered by grace. Jesus Christ sacrificed Himself and shed His blood as the ultimate offering for our sins which is a permanent sacrifice, not a temporary one like in the Old Covenant.
