Exodus

Exodus really relayed to me the Power of God and will of God and the will of the flesh. Realizing that God’s goal is for us to be free and to give us more than we could ever imagine, but our flesh and our rebelliousness leads us to live a life in bondages and in a life never fulfilling the promises of God, not because He isn’t providing, but because we allow our flesh to settle for less.

In Exodus we see God continually providing for the Israelites by supplying manna from the sky and water from a rock and still the Israelites complained and betrayed God and worshiped idols. It’s interesting to see that mankind has not changed much through the centuries.
