King Darius was deceived by his administrators into making a royal decree that made it illegal to pray to any God or man for 30 days except to the king or they will be thrown in the lion’s den.  The administrators told the king that Daniel had defiled the decree by paying to his God.  The king was distressed but there was nothing he could do to save Daniel, but God caused the lion’s mouth to be shut and saved Daniel. The king had his administrators thrown in the lion’s den for deceiving him.  Daniel’s heart belonged to the lord.  </span></span>
