The Book of 2 Samuel is about King David and his reign of 40 years beginning with him King over Israel. He conquered Jerusalem and brought the Ark of the covenant to Jerusalem. This book also mentions David conquering many battles but also describes the dark side of David such as his affair with Bathsheba. This story really touch my heart because his Son with Bathsheba died because of their sin then for Ammon to deceive his father with the request of Tamar, for David to be caught in the middle of his sons. Then for years later for his son Absalom to turn against his father and Absalom paid with his life. This must’ve been a heavy burden on David’s heart. Through all this David continued to be obedient to the Lord. David is known to be a man after Gods own heart.
