Passing the Test
Solomon was visited by God in a dream and was asked what did he want (1 Kings 3:5). Solomon had an opportunity to ask for anything he desired. Give that opportunity to people today and see what dwells within their heart. This may be a golden ticket for some, but for others who truly desire the heart of God may request what Solomon asked for, wisdom. How powerful and priceless is that? How much better to get wisdom than gold, and good judgment than silver! Proverbs 16:16 (NLT). We are tested by God daily by what we allow in our hearts. That is why I ask God to help me with my heart’s desires for I want to desire what You desire oh Lord! It’s easy to get caught up in the desires of the world, or am I only speaking for myself?
