Chapter 1 goes on to talk about Hannah and because of her faith in God He blessed her with a son and that shows us that if we put God 1st we receive what we ask for according to His will. And in chapter 3 scriptures tells us how God can reach anybody. Samuel had not been spoken to about God but that night He called on him and He made him a great prophet through out Israel.
