In 1 Samuel I learned of the three personalities being Samuel-Last of the Judges, Saul-First of the Kings, and David-Anointed Successor. Samuel as a prophet. Saul turned to witchcraft and hated David. David was to become the next king and was loved by Jonathan, Saul’s son.
