The Book 1 Samuel this book starts out with Hannah a woman who was unable to have children. The lord heard her cries and blessed her with Samuel and she dedicated him to the Lord from the time he was born. Samuel grew up among the priest at the Tabernacle. as he grew he became the leading priest. This book also speaks about David and Goliath, Saul and the Philistines. what really touched my heart was Hannah. She was picked on by Peninnah who had children first. Peninnah would make Hannah cry and tease her. This is so mean. The Lord heard Hannah’s prayer for a son. She promised to dedicate his life to the lord and never cut his hair. Once Samuel was born she did as she promised in her prayer. The lord then blessed her with 3 sons and 2 daughters. What a Blessing!! she prayed for 1 child a son and the Lord blessed her with more than she asked for because of her faith and obedience.
