Peter is the the apostle of hope. He was also known as Simon, Simeon, Cephas, and Simon Peter. Peter means “little rock.” Peter explains that because of Jesus’ resurrection, we have a living hope. Peter talks about how believers should live holy in all areas of life because God is holy. As Christians, we will endure suffering which tests our faith and we should rejoice that we partake in Christ’s sufferings. Peter also talks about being prepared for the Lord’s return and looking forward the crown of glory that awaits us.
