In 1 Chronicles David is the anointed king, divinely chosen and Saul is the king chosen by the people. David was to only prepare to build the temple, but Solomon was the one to build it.
In 2 Chronicles God promises Solomon and us that if we pray and seek His face, turn from our sins, He will forgive us.
