Nahum – Well Jonah finally gets what he wanted all along. The problem is that he didn’t live long enough to see it. About 100 years after Jonah prophesied to Nineveh about their destruction, Nahum comes along with the same prophesy and it finally comes to pass. The Assyrian army is no match for our God. They were a very wicked and evil people. Nahum sums them up in once sentence “Where can anyone be found who has not suffered from your continual cruelty” (Nahum 3:19. In the end, Nineveh was destroyed and never to be rebuilt again.
