I decided to write about the book of Malachi, which was the last book that was written in the Old Testament. During his entrance into the Bible, we see the people of Judah that were once exiled now returning from Babylon and they have become corrupt at heart; they struggle back and fourth with their identity in Christ considering they felt abandoned and unloved from the treatment they had received from Him after being exiled. Malachi was sent as a prophet and messenger from the Lord to be His voice during what seemed like a hard and confusing time. Ultimately as they searched for blessings in barren places they strayed off of the path that God had once again attempted to pave for them, and He sent and used Malachi to shed light on the fact that they had disobeyed and strayed away from their covenant in order to sway them to get back onto the right path; he also foretold, yet again, the coming and rescuing of the Messiah for them.
