Nahum had prophesied that Assyria would be conquered but that Judah would be restored

Nahum 1;7 the Lord is good a stronghold in the day of trouble and he knows those who trust in Him

his ministry had to do with the fall of Assyria and its capital city of Nineveh this took place 100 years after Jonah’s Preaching in Nineveh

Habakkuk he is revered by Jews Christians and Muslims The Lord told him that the righteous shall live by faith

he sees the increased wickedness among the people and wants to know why God allows such iniquity to go unpunished. God told Habakkuk that Babylon would be his chastening rod against Judah

Zephaniah   the theme of the book is the day of the Lord  the prophet sees this approaching as a consequence of the sins of Judah A remnant will be saved through  purification by judgment. He wrote that the day of the Lord was near that it would be a time of wrath that it would come as judgment on sin and that ultimately it would result in the blessing  of God’s presence among his People. The people of Judah had long since turned their backs on God not only in their personal lives but also in their worship

Haggai show his concern for the immediate reconstruction of the Temple in . God used 2 prophets to urge the completion of the Temple Haggai and Zechariah.  Haggai had an important message for the Jews who had recently returned from exile . They had forgotten their God choosing instead to focus on their own interest so it was time for them to consider their ways nothing was more important that to show that the Lord was at the center of their thoughts and actions sh he directed them to finish rebuilding God’s temple

Zachariah he told people what God was saying about the preset time and he told people what God was saying about the future his name means the Lord remembers he taught the people that God remembers his promises. Zachariah had 8 visions. 1. the man on a red horse

2. the 4 horns and the 4 workmen

3. the man who is measuring Jerusalem

4. the chief priest

5. the lamp stand and the 2 olive trees

6. the flying scroll

7.the woman in the basket

8. the 4 chariots

Malachi  means my messenger. In this book the temple has been rebuilt this book talks about Gods people failed again and again and while God will deal with their sin he will not abandon them. He promises to redeem a remnant and send a Messiah to fulfill  his covenant promises
