When I read this second epistle to Timothy, I was moved by how faithful Paul was despite that he was imprisoned for preaching the Good news. He was encouraging to Timothy to continue the Church giving him encouragement and direction. Paul did not just lay down and die. He continued to further God’s Kingdom despite his situation. “Preach the word of God. Be prepared, whether the time is favorable or not. Patiently correct, rebuke, and encourage your people with good teaching.” 2 Timothy 4:2 (NLT)
