The book of Esther is a great read. It reminds us that God will use who he needs to use to get the job done. His love, favor, and faithfulness is everlasting. God is not mentioned in this book, nor are the main characters moral beings as in other books, yet God chose to use Mordecai and Esther to save his people. God saw beforehand what the people would do and even though they were out of the will of God by not going back to their homeland, they were not beyond his care. His divine providence provided, directed, and led people who did not want to be led. I admire the courage of Esther when she says, “If I perish, I perish.” She knew what she had to do and she did it.
